Company Profile
We are a small family owned and operated common and contract carrier. The
common carrier portion is primarily a flat bed operation. Dedicated
services include flat beds, side kit operations, and lumber by-product
hauling. Our company started in the dining room replacing the table with a
desk and telephone, four trucks and a few flatbeds.
Today we are located at the Lamar County Industrial Park on a five acre
fenced tract with our own 7500 sq. ft. building with three maintenance bays,
a wash rack, a parts rooms and our offices. With the technology available,
we run the operation with only three support people for the primary
personnel who man the tractors and make our business possible.
Because we have been able to keep our overhead costs to a minimum, we have
"satisfied customers" and we make on time deliveries at a
reasonable cost.

inception, having paid his dues by driving, then doing the dispatching. At this
point, he is totally in charge of the operation and is dedicated to improving
service and taking care of our customers.
C.H. Chasteen
Before there were requirements like a CDL, I began driving a
tractor-trailer for a farm and construction organization at fourteen.
At sixteen, I was making out of state hauls, and have continued in the
trucking end of business since. Twenty seven years as an over the road
trucker for Stokely Van Camp and then as their Dispatcher, and finally
their Distribution Manager. In that position, was responsible for the
daily operation and maintenance of the fleet as well as the Warehousing
and Shipping. They sold the operation and I was the last person to leave
their organization in Griffin, GA in 1984. Since 1986 when I founded
Chasteen's Trucking, I have been actively involved, with its
operation and its support. Daily operations are now competently handled
by my son, Cary Chasteen. You can depend on him to provide continually
improving operations.
Chasteen's
has a completely integrated and computerized dispatching and billing
system.

Chasteen's Trucking has received commendation and plaques from United
Forest Products and from Weyerhaeuser Forest Products.
Customers like us because we deliver as promised; and should an
emergency arise, they are notified, so other arrangements can be made.
